1967 Porsche 911 911S Coupe Additional Info:
1967 Porsche 911S Coupe Project, VIN 306545S
Here we have a project that doesn't come along very often. This is a European delivery 1967 Porsche 911S that was ordered in beautiful Ivory with Pepita (houndstooth) interior and a Webasto auxiliary heater. The car was delivered to the famous Sonauto of Paris-- all of this is confirmed on the attached factory kardex scan. The 4.5Jx15 Fuchs alloys are still with the car, as are the houndstooth seats and the heater. The original engine was replaced at some point with a blank engine case, there is no engine serial number and no engine type number. The 911S specific Weber IDS carburetors are still with the car. Both of these can be confirmed in the photos above.
The interior is largely complete with S-specific trim, high redline 911S tachometer, and badging. The leather wrapped steering wheel still has its horn button. The seats have fared remarkably well, with the centers in great shape and only a minor release of stitching on the back of the driver's seat. You're restored car can have original seats!
The exterior did not fare as well, as the floors, panels, battery and suspension area, and others are all showing the ravages of time and rust. Please see the photos, as this car has lots of rusted areas that will need serious attention. The good news is a number of very hard to recreate parts are still with the car. The European H4 headlights -- 1967 only -- have remarkably survived all these years and still look good. Very rare! The European turn signals and tail lights are still there, too, with some needing resto. The front bumper is also super rare, as it has mounts on it for the long French plates. This car was never federalized, at which time all of these things would be lost. The Fuchs are the original 4.5 x 15 inch alloys and are in very good shape for their age.
The '67 911S is THE quintessential long hood 911, and projects with details like this don't pop up often at all, if ever. Yes, there will be lots of work to do on this car. But in the end you'll have not just a '67S, but a special and unique car that will be an endless conversation and performance piece. Don't miss out!
This car comes with a clear title and is ready for export.
