1960 Porsche 356 S-90 Factor Built Racer
This car will need a complete restoration it will need floors longitudinal’s outer rockers both door bottems battery pan front nose panel for someone who wants to do a full restoration. The car has a later transmission and engine. The engine runs and idols surprisingly well. From my evaluation of the car it was raced and like many racecar it was bumped and repair on the track. The inner structure looks straight I do not think it was hit hard or crashed, where car would have been bent, but the outer body will need lots of attention. As you see the car now it has been somewhat striped and the layers of paint and bondo have been removed it show red, then Silver, green, black and then red again. This car should have a colorful history for someone who can do all the research that this car deserves.
According to Porsche cars North America it was delivered to PeterMax Muler Hanover Germany. I know this after speaking to them on the phone, they where reading the original Kardex. I ask if I could have a copy of the Kardex but there policy said that they could not. As you can see from the COA it is a very special car. I have seen other heavily option cars, but I have only seen Rollbar in GT car’s. This leads me to believe that this car was raced by someone who know what he or she wanted. I also have an article written by Alex Bivens of West Cost Haus from Porsche 356 Club of a pair of Super-90 GT’s with one being a steel panel car much like this one please see last photo.
