1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Additional Info:
Selling my 1990 C2 964 with NO RESERVE!!!
Please only bid if you are serious about purchasing my 911. This is my personal car, not a flip. I am only selling because I need the money for a property purchase. I had intended to keep this car forever so I searched for the cleanest example i could find, regardless of milage. As you know, if you are looking at this auction, C2s have become increasingly rare and hard to find, especially in black/black and with sport seats. C4s, cabs, teargas tiptroncs are all in a differenthelm than the C2. It is the lightest/most pure of the 964 911 line. This car also benefits from the factory limited slip differential option. I have owned multiple porsches (993, 356, 911, 912, 964s) and have learned the hard way that California cars are the ones to shop for. The lack of corrosion underneath makes them much easier to work on and maintain for years to come. This car lived most of its life in Northern California until 2011. The long term norcal owner maintained the car at RMG Enterprises in Sunnyvale. It was reported that the engine has had a top end rebuild sometime in its life, and this would coincide with the lack of major oil leaks and consumption/smoke. It burns extremely clean and has no problem passing CA emission testing. Upon my purchase in 2016, I had a mechanic friend of mine perform a leak down and compression test.Compression test results were: Cyl1 – 170 psi; Cyl2 – 170 psi; Cyl3 – 170 psi; Cyl4 – 172 psi; Cyl5 – 175 psi; Cyl6 – 170 psi.Leakdown down results were; only 3-5% loss on all cylinders.
Some workthat I have done under my ownership:Full fluid flush - Motul engine, trans, and brake fluids.4-wheelalignment by Precision Tech, Marina Del Rey, CABilstein HD Height adjustable shocksGemballa Springs (similar to HR, but no longer available)Brand New OEM Porsche taillights ($1000, but ifyou know 964 and pink lenses, its worth it)OEM Porsche RS engine mounts (much lighter and nonoticeablenoise difference)OEM Porsche shifter and shift bushings (Makes shiftingsomuch nicer and looks completely stock)
Car has an aftermarket cd deck with bluetooth, etc. It works well and is quiteconvenient foriPhone users. A/C works, but like most 911s, not very well. Paint is in amazingcondition save for some rock chips on the nose which is verytypical of 911s. I originally thought it had been repaintedbecause it shinned so well for being almost 30 years old, but a borrowed paint meter would lead me to believe it is most likely all original paint. All readings were in the sub 8 mil range, mostly 3-5. Carfax attached, no surprises. Sport seats are night and day to the standard seats. They are in great condition along with the rest of the interior. Interior smells great, not oily or greasy, no dash cracks, etc. Original jack, took kit, and tire pump included.
Feel free to inspect vehicle, butplease do so before the auction ends. I can help with shipping arrangements internationally or domestic, at buyers expense.
