1987 Porsche 924 S offered by Gas Monkey Garage showing 40,168 miles with . ! This is a really nice and solid example of one of the most iconic sports cars from the 70’s and 80’s, originally designed as the flagship sports car for Volkswagen in the early 70’s. Porsche was responsible for the bulk of development on these cars and when VW decided to go with a more economical car (Scirroco/Rabbit) Porsche made the wise decision to continue developing and start production as the replacement for the 914 model range. This is a well preserved, but not perfect example that would benefit from some TLC and attention to the details (the seat covers show wear and tear, the rear hatch struts won’t hold the cover up, the vinyl headliner has started coming loose from the sunroof panel, the exterior decals are crazing etc…SEE ALL PICS). The exterior is pretty good condition with good, solid paint that I think would also benefit from a good detail and polish. Underside pics reveal a fairly solid chassis with minimal superficial rust present on some components (see all pics). The interior is in pretty good shape needing some TLC as noted with some staining on the rear cargo carpeting as well. The engine fires right up and idles smoothly with a “ticking” sound that may indicate the valves need adjusting, even the A/C works!
