VIN : 237177P273082 This 1967 Pontiac Lemans was restored on a rotisserie by its previous owner in 2015-16. Much work and money went into this car, which looks great, starts with the turn of the key with its fuel injected 455 engine, and has plenty of torque, as well as the ability to cruise the highways comfortably at low RPMs with its BW 5-speed manual transmission. The engine temperature gauge indicates that coolant stays at 190 no matter how hot the weather gets, and the AC blows cold to keep passengers cool as well. It has many GTO parts, but it does NOT pretend to be a $75,000 real GTO.
Vehicle Details
This 1967 Pontiac Lemans underwent a full rotisserie restoration in Pennsylvania in 2015-16. There are many photos on a thumb drive which documented that restoration process, which was provided to me by the previous owner.
The car has zero rust, and POR-15 was used extensively on the frame, floor pans, wheel wells, etc. during the restoration.
The drivetrain consists of a 1970 455 motor, with an Edelbrock aluminum intake, FAST Fuel Injection System, MSD ignition, a 5-speed BW manual transmission, stock cam and exhaust manifolds, 2.5” dual exhaust with H-pipe, and a BOP 3.73 Safe-T-Track rear differential.
Suspension modifications include tubular A-arms front and rear, along with newer front and rear coil springs, front and rear sway bars,
and Monroe shocks.
There is an aluminum radiator with twin electric cooling fans, which keeps the engine temperature at around 190 even on the hottest days.
The car also has cold Vintage AC, power / tilt steering, wood steering wheel, 4-wheel slotted power disc brakes, Sunpro under dash accessory gauges, a more modern Ron Francis wiring harness, stainless steel gas tank, and stainless steel brake lines.
This Lemans has extensive GTO badging and various GTO parts, however it does not pretend to be a real GTO. The car retains its original Lemans chrome body side louvers, and Lemans stainless rocker moldings.
This Lemans was built to be a dependable driver, not no much to enter in car shows that judge cars based on matching numbers or originality.
The bodywork and paint can be rated as “very good.” The paint has a good gloss, and looks excellent despite being 10 years old. It is not perfect, there are only a few small chips and a few small touched up spots, but no dings, dents, paint cracks, or significant scratches.
The chrome bumpers and stacked headlight bezels are perfect, the stainless trim is very good, the glass is excellent, and the panel fit and gaps are good ( again not perfect in every respect ).
There was A LOT of money and labor invested in this car during its rotisserie renovation. As shown in the pictures, this car needs nothing. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed by a new owner.
Included with the purchase of the car will be a packet of many receipts and documents for major components of the car, including manuals for the Vintage A/C, FAST fuel injection, MSD, Disc brake kit, in-dash AM-FM stereo kit, Ron Harris wiring, Tubular suspension arms, etc. Also included is a pair of Magna-flow mufflers, which can be substituted if the new owner prefers a slightly louder exhaust, as well as a pair of stock Pontiac blue valve covers and air cleaner.
This car has a valid NH title and registration in my name, but it is located at our home in Punta Gorda, Florida, zip code 33950.
