This is a 1965 Pontiac Lemans 2 door post. It was a 326 automatic originally. It is now equipped with a 1965 389 4 barrel. Someone started a GTO clone car probably over 30 years ago and had most of everything to do it correctly. We have had this car for 20 years and just pulled it in the shop and rounded up all the missing pieces to make it run and drive. It has lots of new parts under the hood, brakes, tires, exhaust but is not perfect by any means. We went through the mechanical parts to put it back on the road again. We have driven it around about 100 miles and drives out nicely. This is a restoration project or just a driver if someone just wanted that. It could continue as a GTO clone car or be easily put back as a Lemans.
Vehicle Details
This car has been in the Midwest it’s whole life. For a Midwest car it is in really good shape body wise. If you know these cars they get really bad and this one is not too bad at all. The floors are good but the trunk needs patches or replaced. The quarters could be patched if someone didn’t want to spend the time and money doing full quarters. The frame overall is good but the front left corner, under the front fender is rusty. The interior is very complete and I found an automatic console 15 years ago that will go with the sale if someone wanted to put a floor shift in it. The car has great bones and would be a quick driver quality build if someone wanted to go that way with it.
