1967 Lemans Sport Coupe

1967 Pontiac Le Mans Additional Info:

At auction is a 1967 Pontiac Lemans Sport Coupe. Car has rust in quarters, some places in floor, pan, and panel behind rear window. The panel behind the rear window will need to be replaced. (see photos) other than that, the body seems to be fairly solid, with no signs of major accidents. Did not have a vinyl top so top It’s not rusted out. Trunk looks to be fairly solid. In summary, car will need panel replacements, but in my opinion, nothing major.
Engine is a YS code which I was told by previous owner is from a 66 GTO 389. Motor does have mechanical oil baffles which indicates it quite possibly is a GTO engine. Engine was running approximately a year ago and ran fairly well and did not smoke. However, to my ear, it developed a knock after reaching operating temperature so you may want to consider a rebuild.
Car has bucket seats and console shift. Will need seats recovered, carpet, and headliner. Transmission appears to be original. Two speed powerglide type transmission. No brakes, but I have driven the car around in my yard.
Car is very restorable. A good candidate for GTO clone.
