1974 Pontiac GTO Hatchback (NOT A CLONE)
Not a clone! This is one of 1723 hatchbacks built, out of a total of 7058 1974 GTOs built.
This car sounds exactly like you think it should, and it’s SO MUCH FUN to drive! Definitely a head turner, and always in the trophies. We’ve rarely even seen another ‘74 Goat at any of the hundred or so shows we’ve been to.
Purchased in 2005; frame-off rotisserie restoration completed in 2008. Vehicle is Buccaneer Red with white interior and black carpeting, headliner, and dash. Before we did the restoration, the car had a red interior.
NHRA safety certified in 2009
As of this writing, 25,110 miles on rebuilt stock 350 engine (engine was rebuilt during restoration with significantly increased hp)

Shaker hood with Ram Air. (Ram Air is not hooked up, but it can be.)
Correct GTO decals and tagging, including interior door panel emblems
Edelbrock 4 bbl carb
Upgraded radiator fan
Flowmaster dual exhaust with stainless steel exhaust tips
Console gauges (battery, temp, fuel, oil)
American Racing chrome wheels

Aftermarket AC
Alpine AM-FM CD sound system with remote. Five speakers and amp: two 6” in front kickplates, plus Hertz/Diamond subwoofer and amplifier and two 6x9’s in custom built fiberglass speaker box in the hatch (two forward-facing 6x9’s; sub and amp are rear-facing— see photos)
Garage kept whenever not in use; vehicle has never seen road salt.
Known issues:
*Floor shifter has no gear indicator and is not connected to gear indicator on dash. Driver has to pay attention to what gear the car is in--it won't tell you.
*Rear bumper filler panel is a bit twisted/cracked at the corners. We weren't able to straighten it out, but someone else might be (see photo of passenger side filler panel corner).
*Small paint chip/bubble on front of Ram Air pan (indicated in photo).
*Gas gauge on dash doesn't work, but the one in the console gauges is fine.
Appraised at $24,000 in 2019.
