1964 Pontiac Grand Prix Grand Prix Additional Info:

1964 Pontiac Grand original CA black plate car. I purchased this car off another auction site a month or so ago. I have known of this car my whole child hood though. It has been in the same central Ca area it’s whole life. The last owner purchased this car in 1978. And pretty much drove it daily up until I got it last month. The car will start, drive, stop, but needs lots of fixes in multiple areas. A little more work then I expected when I purchased it. I will try and be as detailed as possible. Please call with any questions. 55925980sixnine. Car is located in Sanger ca 93657.

Vehicle Details

Exterior: Maroon paint was done in 2001, it looks really good in most places, but has lots of scratches, paint cracks and some clear coat peeling. A great 10’. Does have some rust bubbles in the quarters. But overall not bad for it usage.

Engine/trans: 389 non original numbers matching. I was told this car has seen over 300k miles. Engine is tired and needs a refresh. It has lots of blow by. It will drive but I would not want to drive it a long distance in its current state. A hydromaticneas installed, replacing the slim Jim. Seems to shift ok in the small amount of driving I’ve done in it.

Chassis/brakes : It was stolen many years ago, and frame took a hit just under the oil pan. (Crossmember support see pics)it’s much better then I expected, when it was explained too me. Other then that, it’s still decent for its daily driven usage.

Rides on 8 lug wheels, with a spare. Tires are good but old in age. Car stops hood. Ive replaced rear coil springs.

Interior/trunk: front seats have some rips though springs and padding feel good. Back seat is really good, and could use a detail. Headliner is in tact and very good. Dash is not cracked. All gauges work, lights and vacuum gauge function as they should. Power windows work. All interior trim present, but needs some adjustment and reassembly in places. Driver floor has a little hole. Passenger has holes as well see pics. Carpet has been removed.

Will need a trunk pan.

Conclusion: this car has been well loved and driven. Yes it does needs lots of work, but it still has so much potential. You would not be ashamed to take this to a local cruise night after you fix some of the mechanicals. I was really hoping it didn’t need as much as it does when I purchased it.
