1965 PONTIAC GTO
PHS DOCUMENTED, 4-SPEED TRANS., POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES!!!!
This 1965 GTO presents itself beautifully with its factory color, Montero Red code R. It has a very glossy clear coat finish on a clean rust free Southern body. It is straight down both sides, all gaps and seams are nice. The original bumpers have been rechromed and are in great shape. The stainless trim, grills, mirror, door handles are in good shape. It rides on a set of 14X7 Pontiac Rally 1 wheels with a set of Firestone radial redline tires.
The black upholstery looks great up against the glossy red exterior. The seat upholstery, door panels, armrests, pads, sill plates, headliner, visors and carpet have all been replaced. It has a factory steering wheel. Looking at the dash: the wood grain on the dash is in good shape, the lenses, Rally gauges and tach are in great shape. The dash pad is in good shape with no cracks. There is a factory AM radio in the dash and a FM stereo mounted under the dash. It also has Pontiac floor mats.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its correct, completely rebuilt 389 cid engine with a factory 4 barrel carburetor. The wiring harness has been replaced along with all the brake lines, power brakes, 4-core Harrison radiator. It has the correct chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaner. It features power steering and power brakes hood insulation. The engine compartment is nicely finished in satin black.
The undercarriage is nicely detailed. The floors appear to be all clean and original metal. They are finished with a nice coat of satin black paint. Looking up at the bottom of the motor it is clean as well as the Muncie M20 4-speed transmission. All the front end components and all the bushings appear to have been replaced. It has a 3:23 gear ratio posi rear end. The E-brake cable assembly is complete and working. The gas tank and sending unit have been replaced.
The trunk compartment is very nice with a factory Rally 1 with a red line radial for a spare tire, jack assembly, trunk mat and jacking instructions decal. It has a light coat of Black Aqua trunk splatter paint for a nice clean factory look. It also has new weather stripping.
This is a very nice 1965 Pontiac GTO! It really looks, sounds and performs well!
