1986 Pontiac Fiero GT GARAGE FIND!
This car is in 90% original condition
Starts, drives, and stops
This car is in fairly decent condition considering it’s an almost 35 year old automobile
35 YEARS and still kicking!
2016 NJ Inspection sticker, although it's been exempt from annual MV inspections here for at least 3 or 4 years due to not being an OBDII computer system
It has decent look although the tops appear to have been repainted at some point, not a show car mind you, but a decent shine with some chipping or blemishes
No body damage
No tears in the upholstery, just some normal wear and tear, no puns intended!
It is a GT model, so it has the V6 Fuel injected engine
Mechanically speaking, it’s a nice starter collector car for someone wanting to re-live their 80’s lives, or to just have an affordable 2 seater to drive to the spring cruise nights only a few short months away
.
As I mentioned, it was found in a Jersey Shore garage and has been there for some time
It started right up with a fresh battery and gasoline
It will need to be looked over closely, if and when you put her back in service
All I can say is that it started right up with little effort and drove around the shop
The only bugs noticed in its recent wake up call from hibernation, was that the headlights are stuck in the up position
After reading up on the system, the main relay is functioning with the headlight switch, leaving me to conclude that the electric headlight motors must be stuck and need to be changed.
That doesn’t seem to be an overly expensive adventure, there are countless parts for sale on e-bay, I would get two new motors with their relays, and that shouldn’t be more than a few hundred dollars
Well, described in my own words as best as possible, for what it’s worth, this is surely a classic
There are a few for sale here online, GT’s bringing the most money and the most sought after
Some for $10K and more, I am not saying this is one of those mind you, but if your handy, it can be
In any case, it isn’t a losing proposition, these cars seem to hold their interest and value
I do have a modest reserve price, even though this is an auction type sale.
If it does not sell though its normal channels, I will consider offers
Please don’t ask what my reserve price is, it’s a secret
Weather has been kind of crappy to take real nice photos; all I have right now are the few I took when I first got this car
Weather permitting; I’ll try to add more in the coming days
What you see is what you get, ask anything you need to, I will respond with as much information as I can
Clean NJ title
I will not release this car whatsoever until funding has cleared the bank process
Cash on the spot is what you need if you intend to take it home when you get here
No exceptions-No kidding
Please allow adequate time for responding to questions
Don’t expect a response if you’re attempting to sneak one in at the final hours of the auction
This car can be inspected by appointment here in Bergen County, NJ
I urge anyone interested to do so or obtain an independent inspection from a reliable company
I have nothing to hide, I will try to answer any question, but please keep it real
Sold As-is
Reasonable offers will be considered if I don’t make my reserve
This item may also be advertised locally, because of these multiple listings, I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time without prior notice.
