Bright, bold, and highly original, this 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am already is going to get you noticed. And that's even before you tell them that the ultra-low odometer is actual mileage! Sundance Yellow is the name of that paint that's commanding all your attention. It goes in the exact opposite direction of the black Trans Ams by being the kind of bright color that radiates during the day. It even almost feels like it glows in the... dark! So when you have a coupe that's drawing extra attention, you want it to be as well done as this one. The paint has a deep luster, the panels ae straight, and the details are terrific. Because this is an aggressive Trans Am, you still get all the performance pieces you love, like the shaker hood, sport body kit, fender vents, and full-width rear spoiler. Of course, the hood bird is boldly leading the way. Plus, when people complement you on how good this T/A looks, you get to tell them it has averaged less than 550 miles annually! The camel interior is a great complementing color to the exterior because it nicely coordinates with the tone of the yellow. And inside, it's just as nicely period-correct as the exterior, right down to the cloth seats with stylish houndstooth-style inserts. This one has all the right original features you want, including the AM/FM stereo and cold-blowing factory air conditioning. Bucket seats, a center console, and the grippy sports steering wheel make this a classic built around the driver. We all love the look of the full gauge setup set in the sporty machine-turned aluminum panel. When you lift the hood, you instantly see the difference that comes on a car with ultra-low mileage and has been treated with proper care. This is an exceptionally tidy and an exceptionally stock look to what's believed to be the original motor. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor the 403 cubic-inch V8 is one of the best powerhouses of the late '70s. It fires up nicely, and the numbers-matching TH350 three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. It's an experience that makes this Trans Am easy to enjoy. And that's heightened further by features like power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front & rear. There's even nice grip with the limited-slip rear end and Goodyear Eagle GTII tires on the iconic snowflake alloys. Complete with owner's manual, this Pontiac loves to show off its low-mileage look (even in the undercarriage photos.) It makes for a terrific way to have a sports car icon in a standout package.
