1980 Pontiac Trans Am Black/Red Additional Info:
For sale is a 1980 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM in fair condition with a clean title. Offers welcome.
Would say it is 90% original aside from the repaint, stereo, and Mote Carlo rims. (Will come with JD coded 15x7 Snowflake wheels). I bought this car to part out the interior for another car, but decided that it would really be a waste to strip such a complete original car that wouldn't take too much to fix up.
It's a good factory colour combo, Starlight Black on DeluxeHobnailCarmine Red interior car. It is highly original, repainted once in the 90's. Car had new decals applied, however it originally had bright red TRANS AM call outs and a red eagle on the bonnet.
Original numbers matching, naturally aspirated301 Pontiac V8 that still (surprisingly) runs well. Kicked over first try, and engine looks to have never been taken out of the car or rebuilt. Original Air Conditioning unit (might even still work) still attached as well as original emissions equipment. The 301 is coupled #'s matching Turbo-Hydramatic 350 transmission still shifts fine. Have videos of the car running. However, would not be ideal to drive due to rear end issues.
Interior is in very good condition, seats are really nice, overall everything in the interior is really nice aside from the dash (which, let's be real, how many dashboards in a firebird do you know that aren't cracked) which has two cracks, and the carpet which has faded. Door panels aren't cut up and are in great shape.
Bring a trailer, because I would not recommenddrivin' this thing home. Would say that all it would really need is work done to the rear end of the vehicle before it's safely drive able, the rear springs and rear floors need attention. You could get away with a really good detail or buff, it's a 10 footer, but personally I would want a light respray and correct red decals.
Send me through offers, worst I can say is no thanks. Ask any questions. I've listed the vehicle for sale locally too, so I could take it down any time. Would prefer PayPal, cash is always good too.
