1967 Pontiac GTO Additional Info:
1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible - VIN 2426779249096 - Regimental Red, Four Speed, Parchment interior - Rotisserie Restoration PHS Documented We just completed a total nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration of this beautiful car. Rare, original Regimental Red convertible, powered by an original, correct, numbers matching WT 400 date coded f207, backed with the original four speed Muncie wide ratio transmission including an original, restored Hurst Shifter Stick #5268. We sourced and/or restored original parts where possible, purchased NOS as a secondary option and only when no other options were available, purchased after market, reproduction parts; included in the mix; original, correct Delco Remy Distributor Cap, 10.75 Compression 670 Heads, Alternator 1111250 6M1 date coded 7f23, manifold date coded f217....and even found a beautifully restored original wood steering wheel. The entire engine was restored, blueprinted by Somer's Automotive in Vancouver, Wa…known primarily for race engines and well known in the Pontiac community. The body was braced and removed from the frame... and when finished went back on with new bushings completely level as it was originally with no shimming whatsoever. The body was sanded down to preserve the panel sealing where possible then three coats of PPG primer sealer were applied including the original, correct red primer to the under body. The entire car was block sanded straight, jammed and then five coats of Nason single phase was applied in Regimental Red. The frame was completely blasted and powder coated inlcuding all the major components of the suspension. We spent almost four years restoring the car, never cut corners to save time, never used a rattle can because we were lazy and always tried to restore original parts if available. It's a beautiful car.
Happy to answer any/all questions. Car is sold as is, no warranty, no returns.
