1974 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:
NO RESERVE
Up is a nice 1974 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. This is a real Formula, with a numbers matching 400 with the 4bbl carb and dual exhaust. This is a blue-plate California car that is in very nice condition. I would call it a very high quality driver in its current state only because it has some very minor flaws that keep it from top notch show level. Take it to your local car shows and it will be one of the better ones there.
The exterior of the car is in a Medium blue color. It looks very nice and shines up very well. Color is a little lighter than Lucerne Blue, but you will only notice if sitting next to one (I happen to have one to compare it to and its just a little lighter). Paint is very good, some very minor flaws as would expect, but you need to look for them. Small crack in fiberglass nose (normal for this car) about 1/2", and a 1/4" paint crack on the rear passenger sail panel. Car has been repainted at some point in its life. Chrome/brightwork is also good. New 17" American Racing Torque Thrust rims and new tires set off nice against the blue paint. Once on the road, no big squeaks or rattles for its age (but hey its not a new car either). It starts right up, shifts, stops, and steers as you would expect. No surprises.
Underside of the car is clean. No rust, no issues. With it being a blue plate California car, it has spent its life in southern Cal, which is where I purchased it. Suspension is tight and stock in nature. Brakes look to be fairly new. Its apparent the car was driven but also significant care as well. Engine compartment is clean, though not sterile. Its an A/C car and the A/C equipment is installed. It's still chilly here, but it appears to be working and at least cool. Compressor is kicking on and blower is sending out cold air. Not tested with temps higher than 60 yet. Heat is also working. Does not have significant leaks of any kind (very tiny drop of oil only when parked, fairly typical). Lights work, though drivers side rear tail light has a loose connection as it will occasionally go off going over bumps. Have not traced it down yet.
Interior of the Formula is black velour and is in overall very good condition. Seats have no rips or tears or wear. Rear seats also look great. Door panels and carpet (plush) are also good shape. Only flaws in the interior is the seat belts are old and original, dash has crack (see picture), and speedometer reads 20mph fast. All the other gauges work, as does factory tach. Love the 160mph speedometer! Headliner is not stock, but looks very nice. I think the interior has been redone at sometime in this car's 44yr history, but not recently. Its very nice, but its not brand new.
Overall, this is an very nice 1974 Formula. I have owned dozens of 70-81 Firebirds and this is one of the better ones I have found. It is nice enough to show, yet not perfect so allows you to drive it and enjoy it. This car was purchased to put into my personal collection, but its time for someone else to enjoy.

Added pics of underside. I have had a number of questions regarding rust. It is a simple response, there is not any on this car. Typical areas of rust on these cars, rear trunk area, frame rails, floor are all clean and appear to be original. Quarter panels are all solid steel and does not contain bondo or filler.
