1955 Plymouth Savoy
This car is a great Rat Rod, Derelict, custom car that has great styling and looks and runs and drives. Now that the Derelict craze is getting huge, count yourself in and drive this to your next cruise in or show.
This was originally a 4 door car converted to a 2 door car. It was done by the owner who is an expert metal worker. He has done metal and body work for 30 years and works on high level cars as his day job. The kind of work he normally does is on the cars that bring high 6 figures at Barrett Jackson auctions and a car that will be on display at SEMA this year.
This is a running and driving car. It was driven to a local cruise in just last week.
The car starts up and runs and drives great.
It is the original running gear being a flathead 6 cylinder engine and the manual 3 speed transmission.
It is a 6 volt system and the lights work correctly.
Drum brakes that work perfectly.
All the original trim is on the car along with the bumpers and they are in very good condition.
The glass is good except for the passenger window which is cracked which is a flat glass piece. Windows roll up and down.
The dash is in great shape.
The interior is a little sparse, although not for a rat rod derelict. There are some bucket seats installed and honestly, that is about it inside.
The floor pans were replaced along any and all metal rust on the fenders were repaired with metal, no bondo at all. The only rust is a couple small pin holes in an area above the back bumper on the trim panel.
A vinyl top is installed.
Has the original hubcaps.
The original gas tank was bad and now there is a fuel cell installed in the trunk.
To get it to a 2 door, there was 24 inches cut out of the body and frame center section essentially eliminating the rear door area. I have a CD of all the in process pics that will go with the car. Everything was supported properly thru out the build and the car is straight as an arrow. All panels are perfectly straight. All panels are welded together perfectly and with expertise.
This is the original body and frame which was sectioned. The drive shaft was shortened to be able to use the original u joints.
Car is painted in a red primer.
This is a unique Rat rod/Derelict/Custom car that looks great, runs great and you can continue to make it your own while driving it to the local show or cruise in. The work done is with expertise and integrity and quality. Absolutely no short cuts or shoddy workmanship.
A great chance to cruise in a unique ride now for a low dollar investment.
