1953 Plymouth Savoy Custom Coupe Deluxe. This car is rebuilt on a 75 El Camino frame with new steel floor pans throughout. Independent front suspension for a gasser look and drivability with front tubular control arms. Not for the faint of heart, she is fast and loud. She is a built 355 big cam car with flat top pistons, roller motor, scat crank eagle rods, high rise manifold and Summit heads with 72 cc combustion. This is a complete roller motor, built for speed with about 500 hp to the crank. There is a built 400 turbo with a B & M shift kit, upgraded clutches and a Hurst slap shifter. The drive shaft has also been upgraded and is rated to 700 hp. She has an aluminum 4 core radiator and LED taillights and turn signals. She is a daily driver car and street legal! Ran her through the car line at the elementary school for a couple of years. There is custom airbrush skull work hidden in her gorgeous green patina. The roof was redone in white pearl with ghost flames and skulls that are revealed with a wicked green glow in the sunlight, difficult to photograph. Everything works, no leaks. There is a 15 gallon fuel cell tucked nicely in the trunk. I have rebuilt everything in this car to make it an award winning, badass hot rod. I don’t want to sell her, but I am ready to move on to my next project. I have all chrome and stainless trim that is not on the car for the interior and exterior. I have the hood as well, I just don’t use it. Only thing missing is the door glass, but all mechanical parts are there, and the bumpers. Looking for a family to love her as much as we do, her name is Sourpuss.
