1966 Plymouth Barracuda FORMULA S Additional Info:

Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - VERY RARE !! - 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback. I say RARE because only 5,316 true Formula S Barracudas were built out of 38,029 sold in 1966 AND only 2,970 of these came with a factory four speed ! Most of the Barracuda Formula S models available for sale currently are clones. Note the "7" on the fender tag under the "f" in one of the pictures, which is the true Formula S package. I purchased this Barracuda S from a local gentleman who rarely drove it, mostly for fun, car shows etc. and kept it in a climate-controlled building when not in use. It is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - IDAHO HIGH MOUNTAIN DESERT MUSCLE CAR !! Since I have owned it, it is only driven in nice weather, babied and always kept in my garage when not in use. This RARE American piece of automotive history is a BLAST to drive and gets a thumbs up or an interested looker just about anywhere you take it. It always starts right up and runs and drives GREAT. Come take a look at this Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback for yourself you won't be disappointed. At the heart of this BEAUTY is the Formula S only - " Commando 273" - 8-cylinder - solid lifter - 10.5:1 compression ratio motor that is running VERY WELL ! The motor still retains its factory original "Commando 273" chrome air cleaner housing/breather, factory original four-barrel intake manifold, factory original Formula S valve covers and factory original exhaust manifolds. Note the "32" code under ab on the fender tag which designates the HIPO 273 Four Barrel Commando motor. The factory original four-barrel carburetor has been replaced with an Edelbrock four barrel, but I still have the original Carter AFB four barrel, and it will come with the car. The original distributer has been replaced with MSD ignition, but the original distributer also comes with the car. Included in the pictures are block number as follows: First block picture is the block casting date (8-6-65). Second block picture is the front stamp (B273-9-24). "B" indicates the model year of 1966, 9-24 is the assembly date code which indicates the block was built on September 24. Third block picture is the block number (2465330-1) which is correct for a 1966 273 V8 motor. The engine is backed by a - Four speed - manual transmission. Handles well with the Formula S Rallye suspension and factory disc brakes on the front. The - MOSTLY FACTORY ORIGINAL - Code P4X - Black interior is in NICE condition with FACTORY ORIGINAL Black upholstery, newer Black carpeting, Factory Original Black door panels and a Black headliner. The two bucket seats do have a couple of small imperfections, but they are original. Dash and dash pad are nice and the dash has the correct Formula S only 150mph speedometer and working tachometer. Nice factory original center console. The - Code "PP1" - Bright Red exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! showing little to no wear. The - code "PP1" - Bright Red exterior and - Code "P4X" - Black interior is the FACTORY ORIGINAL color combination - THE BEST AND MOST DESIRABLE !!
Factory fender tag shown in picture decodes as follows:Top row - a6 = Console / b4 = Bucket seats.
Row Two - A3B2 = 273 V8 Four bbl / C3 = Four speed manual transmission / D9 = Front disc brakes / F7 = Formula S / R1 = AM Radio / T7 = Tachometer.
Third row - starts with the shipping order number 92800105 / BP29 = Body number = Barracuda / P4X = Trim = Black vinyl interior color / PP1 = Exterior paint color = Bright red / B = Black upper inner door paint.
I used to be in the Classic car business but am now retired. This Beauty comes out of my personal collection and was handpicked by me. I prefer a bank-to-bank wire transfer as payment but will also accept a bank check or a thirty-party check, but the funds must clear my account before the car or the title to the car is released to the buyer or the buyer's agent. I will be happy to work with your shipper on this end to make sure things go well. I have sold classic cars to buyers all over the world for many years and I will let my large amount of eBay feedback speak for itself as for my integrity. I have the free and clear Idaho title in my name. Feel free to contact me with questions or if you would like pictures of something in particular. My name is Ross, and my cell number is (208) 866-4055.
