Super cool looking Plymouth Valiant. Rare 3 on the tree manual transmission. Slant 6 engine. Unmolested time capsule. Original interior, including rubber floormats in back seat. New tires, metalbrake lines, starter, battery, fuel pump, oil pump, water pump and gastank. Recent tune up.
The frame and undercarriage look good, but there were some smallholes in driver’s side floor which I covered with a sturdy rubber mat. Lower body panels have the usual rust which isincluded in pictures. I suspect thepaint could be original and no signs of Bondo.
A recent compression test indicates low compression in the 2cylinders closest to the firewall. Itwould start and idle nicely, but I know something was up because it struggledto make it up a hill. Now it won’tstart. The previous owner did not disclose this, only mentioning possiblecarburetor issues. I thought this was a bulletproof engine and it appeared to be owned by an old lady prior to him. Maybe it’s a simple fix, as the car had beensitting for a long time. The carburetorwas replaced, and I will include the original.
Clutch and transmission felt good while driving. Brakes need adjustment or repair, and exhaustpipes need to be replaced.
