The Savoy was a WW1 paint with L1R interior with a 3speed on the column and inline 6 as per ID Tag. I stripped the car done to an empty chassis on caster wheels for a rotisserie restoration to a Stag III Max Wedge. I started a “For B Bodies Only “ members restore page to document the process. The car has all original body parts, no repo parts. All have original Chrysler markings.
As the body work was being done and repainted to original WW1 paint code (White) with PPG paint and Clear in a 2 stag process. The 8 3/4 64 rear end housing powder coated semi gloss black with a rebuilt 742 carrier with a sure grip 3.91 gear set. New axle, bearings and seals. “11 x 2 1/2 rear shoes and drums. Mopar super stock leaf springs, max wedge rated rear shocks, Brewer’s performance 1964 date coded 833 4 speed with trunnion yoke and overdrive 4th gear.
Max wedge 2463019 10.5 bell housing, McLeod 130 tooth 27lbs flywheel with Center Force Clutch and pressure plate, Block is late model RB 440 #4006630-440-4, offset grind forged steel crankshaft to a 3.899 stroke, Molnar 7.1 rods with Chevy journals. Ross custom.040 over pistons 10.5-1 to a 466 cid. BCR Aluminum main caps and girdle kit, All ARP hardware. Firestone period correct front tires M&H rear tires on 15×10 Mopar steel rims with Savoy Cabs and original 14x 5.5 steel rims up front and spare. Dual master cylinder with 10.5 vented disc brakes on front, 6 cylinder torsion bars and QA1 R adjustable front shocks. All steel braided brake hoses and stainless steel brake lines. Stainless parking brake cables. This car has won 1st place at MATS 2 year’s straight, Spring Fling and Fall Fling, Big Bear twice and many more. The car is a perfect replica of a 1964 Plymouth Savoy Max Wedge. Car has always been stored indoors. Have a receipts and original keys and owners manual.
