1971 Plymouth GTX Additional Info:
From Basket Case to Beast ! 1971 Plymouth GTX Restomod up for sale. This is a real 71 GTX with numbers matching 440 and Fender Tag. Highly optioned J68 and AC GTX tastefully modified to make this car stand out. A lot of care was taken to not structurally alter this car so it could be taken back to complete stock if so desired.
Body was stripped to bare metal, all rust replaced, and mounted on a rotisterrie for all the body work.
Air Grabber is not original to this car - hood and bubble installed - no other components.
The inside was sprayed with Lizard Skin Heat and Sound Barrier and the underside coated with Raptor Liner.
All suspension components were blasted and powder coated.
Sure Grip 8 3/4 rear end - blasted, powder coated, new 3:55 gears installed.727 Automatic - professionally rebuilt with new 2400 stall converter installed.
Complete 4 wheel disk brake system by Wilwood.
The engine was completely disassembled and professionally rebuilt - sporting new ported Edelbrock Heads, Full Roller CAM, Rockers, and Lifters - blueprinted and balanced along with full serpentine system.
Upgraded AC compressor, power steering box by borgeson, alternator, and power steering pump.
The interior is about 75% complete - New dash pad, cluster, gauges, Ron Francis wiring, headliner, seats with new foam and covers, and molded carpet. The car has barely been driven and still needs some interior pieces to be complete.
A fresh alignment for the new suspension, wheels, and tires needs to happen.
The AC system still needs to be gone through. The AC box was pulled out, cracks were repaired, and new heater core added. Evaporator tested at a local radiator shop and showed no leaks. However the box needs to be restored with new foam and seals - currently is in the car, but nothing is hooked up.
Wiper motor was professionally rebuilt, but needs compatible switch installed - NOS wiper switch already purchased just not hooked up. Clear FL title in my name.New Rocker Panel Moldings - not installed, but can have it arranged at buyers cost.Walk Around Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUB99BrL9xQ

The above list is not a complete list of all the items that have been touched, replaced, or upgraded on this car. To be clear, the car runs drives, etc., but still has interior items that need to be installed, replaced, or restored. I have well over 50K in this car. I have driven it only a handful of times to the corner gas station and back - the car always draws people over with their phones out taking pictures and wanting to look it over. The GTX was a low production numbers car, and these in particular are getting more difficult to find. Here is you're chance to get in at a bargain price giving you instant equity. I don't want to offend anyone, but if you're a low baller, Richard Rawlins wannabe, or needing your spouse's approval, then this is probably not the car for you. However, if you don't fit into one of those categories, feel free to contact me and we can talk about the GTX and all things MoPars.
