Perhaps no other car defined Mopar Muscle than the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Plymouth's "dare to be different" attitude was exemplified with the road runner as in 1968 the paid 50, 000 dollars to Warner Brothers to use the name and likeness of their iconic Road Runner cartoon character and they spent thousands on the development of the cars signature "beep beep" horn. The design and promotional aspect was fun and fresh, however the power and performance of these cars... were taken very seriously during development as the muscle car wars were at their height of their popularity in 1969. The 1969 Plymouth Road Runner offered here is said to be a California car that was acquired by its current owner in 1988. The car was then put through a restoration process completed in 1990. The car is powered by a 383 V8 and information to pertaining to the fender tag is as follows: 383 CID 335 hp, (Motor Not Original to the Car) 4 Barrel Carberator, 4 Speed Manual Transmission, High Vinyl Bench Seat Black, Black Interior Door Frames and Built 4th Week of April. It is interesting to note that this is a 97E paint code delete car and this is a super rare color "Bright Green Metallic" also referred to Spring Green or Rally Green. It is said that this is technically a Dodge color only available through April 1969. It is also believed that Plymouth only painted 12 cars in that color and of those only 2 of them were Road Runners. This example remains in great shape, runs and drives real strong and is ready for you to impress all who see.
