You are looking at an original garagekept 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner coupe that my wife's grandma ordered from the factory as a low option car. I am not a Mopar guy but I am told that the 318 4 speed makes it 1 of 350 made in 1973. It has the beep beep horn. It was ordered with a 318 motor and a 4 speed manual transmission with the super cool hurst shifter from the factory. Theygot the car from the factory on 2/13/1973, sold it to their son on 7/7/1993, and then sold it to us on 8/12/2016.This isa true one family owned car. 76,754 original miles, never had any major motor work, I have the originalwindow sticker, original consumer paper, original owner's manual.
As I said itwas special ordered as a low option car with the front bench seat, 318 motor with the 4 speed manual transmission, it doesn't have much else in terms of options which makes it even more rare. No power steering, no air (although aftermarket air was added at some point but is not operational), standard door panels and interior, the headliner is in excellent condition as well as the whole interior and seats are ingreat shape, no rear side glass roll up option so the two little windows behind the door windows are fixed, and the original base wheels are still on it, as well as the original spare and jack in the truck. I have a box of records and information they kept over the years.
I puta new set of tires on it last year and had the insides of the alternator rebuilt but kept the case intact with the tag. The son did change out the radiator in 1997 with a Modine 511 and put a new clutch in it at some point. It has the original paint and original interior ingreat shape for being a 45 year old car, there is a few small dings, some scuffs and marks but nothing major. It looks like he sealed the front window himself with a silicone strip but I never heard the story on that. The motor has some seeps around the oil pan, and a few other small seeps here and there which is expected from a car of this age.
It has one contained rock chip in the front glass that is not spreading beyonda quarter size, some light surface rust in the normal areas, only a few spots where the rust has bubbled through the body, and the underside has never been painted so it is original and shows surface rust. Floor pans, trunk, wheel wells, and other supports under the car are solid and just have some surface rust. The vinyl flooring covering is crackedin the back as the picture shows.
This is however a 45 year old vehicle we believe to be in great conditionbut there are no warrantees expressed or implied.
