1969 Plymouth Road Runner A12 Additional Info:

I am listing this vehicle for a close personal friend who is a physician. I can his contact information to interested bidders, just send me an email.

He doesn't have an ebay account and I have worked on the car so I have a good working knowledge of it. The car is an original Bahama yellow Roadrunner which was equipped with a 4 speed / Pistol grip shifter/ console, and a 383 engine. The car retains it original 8.75 rear end, which currently has a 4:10 gear. He has an extra center section set up with a 3.23, both with sure grip diffs. The carcame from Boston where the builder provided an extensive binder of receipts and photo documentation of the restoration.

The car was placed on a rotisserie where the builder did an concours quality nut and bolt resto. They say there is no perfect car, however I have yet to find a flaw. The paint is perfect, done in single stage urethane. All glass is new. New Legendary interior. New dash instrumentation, factory tach. The lift off Glass hood has had a spring kit added for convienience. It also has a very pricy mopar wood steering wheel specific to this model car.

Look at the photos of the undercarriage, you will see a flawless and meticulous restoration. Everything is repro. or NOS. The Coker redline tires, rims and dog dish caps are brand new. He also has a set of Cragars which are mounted on the same size radial T/a's The previous owner bought the Cragar rims new and sent them in to be rechromed. They are stunning!!!! Need less to say the car is laser straight, no pinholes, fisheyes, bubbles or orange peel. This car has to be seen to be believed. Therefore I would strongly encourage interested buyers to fly into Chicago and take an hour drive to see the car. Absolutely no dissapointments or surprises.

The engine is an unknown year Iron headed 440 with a Mopar Purple camshaft. It has the 6 bbl intake, carb and air cleaner reproduction kit, commonly sold and online vendors and restoration companies. It has an MSD pro billet with a 6al box. We don't have a lot of info on the engine. Ive had the valve covers off the change gaskets, It has huge valve springs and Crane Gold Roller Rockers. I've also changed out the deep sump pan that it came with to a stock Mopar pan and observed the bottom of the engine has been balanced. Only the data plate reveals this is not a real a 12 car. If it was a numbers matching A 12, the price would be 6 digits. This has to be one of the top five Roadrunners in the country period. It was appraised when purchased for $80.000

It is stored in a climate controlled facility and placed in an airtight bag during the winter months.

THe car has manual front disc brakes and manual steering. It has a stainless vehicle specific h pipe full exhaust with correct repro. tips and Dynomax mufflers. I have a wav file of the car idling which I can also send The Buy it now Price is extremely reasonable and we would listen to legitimate offers. 40K is not a legitimate offer. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking

A couple additional details: The original thumbwheel radio has been converted to am.fm modern electronics. I have little info in the original owners notes on the motor. He only lists the run octane booster every other tank. I will attempt to get casting numbers on the block.

Based on the way it runs, prob. high 12 second car, I would venture to guess its not an 8 to 1 motorhome motor.
