1941 Plymouth Other Additional Info:
1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe ConvertibleParts car (or a ton of restoration) with a flathead 6cyl engine
This car was purchased by my late parents for, well, unknown reasons pushing 20 years ago. It's been in a barn for all this time. However, it was definitely outside prior as there is a part of a tree trunk grown through the rear bumper.
As you can see from the photos, this car is in really rough shape. The frame is remarkably intact, even though the back end looks like it's lower than the front. The trek from the barn to the current position didn't break it in two and I could see the frame was actually in one piece. The rear half of the body has separated from the frame and is sagging. There isn't a floor to speak of. The seats are barely just the springs. The gas tank is actually hanging on by a single strap. The engine appears to be complete. It is a flathead 6 cylinder engine of unknown size. Research indicates it would be a 218ci engine. I have no reason to doubt this is the original engine The front fenders and hood are in good shape. The hood ornament and fender lights are intact. One rear tail light is intact and the trunk light is intact. We were able to steer it. Door windows are intact and the driver's side windshield is unbroken. The passenger's side windshield is broken.
I've listed the title as "Salvage" mainly because I'm trying to find it. I believe my parents did have the title for it. Given the age and condition of the vehicle, there may not be one. I'll update the listing if I can find it.
Old Car Price Guide seems to think this car is worth $1500 as a parts car. I'm going to start this at $500 and see what happens.
I do not have a way to "ship" this anywhere, so you'll have to make arrangements for pickup.
I'm asking for $100 deposit through PayPal with the rest due at pickup. You can pay the rest as cash or cashier's check. No personal checks.
