1926 STAR Speedster, Roadster, Runabout out of many years in storage. The Star automobile company was in existence from 1898 to 1932. This car starts, runs, drives and stops. I do not know very much on its history other than it was sold at a Seattle auto auction in the early 1980’s. It may have been a race car back in the 20’s or 30’s and I seriously doubt if it was a backyard build as the sophistication of the construction of the body, grille and grille shell is beyond amateur workmanship. It still has the Continental 4 cylinder engine and original transmission and running gear. It needs to have the gas tank cleaned out to be a reliable runner and the lights need to be rewired. It just needs some basic maintenance issues. It still has the Star motometer, cloisonné grille shell emblem and the factory Star hubcaps. The tires are 30” X 3 ½”. Email with your questions.
