1952 Buick Roadmaster Additional Info:

Here is a rare opportunity to buy a 1952 Buick Roadmaster 2 door. Very few of these left around, and even less in such good original condition. Check my other auctions for more cool cars like a VW thing, aircooled Porsche 91, Land Rover/ Range Rover Classic, and VW Westfalias galore.

PLEASE read entire a, and please do not bid unless you have funds ready to g, and you are committed to buy. Ask all questions and make any inspections BEFORE bidding. After auction is not when to ask questions or negotiate, people! Thank you

I recently purchased this Buick Roadmaster, as I saw the ad and was really moved by how beautiful this car is. I have never owed a car this old, and very few American cars (My wheelhouse is more European cars from the 1960s - 1980s) and wanted to see what it would be like. I absolutely love to come outside and sit down, and just stare at this thing in my driveway. HOWEVER ; it is not as much fun for me to drive, as it sits now. I have small kids, and they want to go for rides in the Buick, but it really does not have seat belt, so their mother is not into it.. It is a Dynaflow 2 speed transmission, so is not very fast. Brakes work well, but are not powered, and single-circuit.. Power steering is disconnected (although steering is very low geared and still easy to operate) - Power windows do not work at the moment, so no elbow-out-the-window...

About the windows : Electric over hydraulic cylinders. Everything is in plac, including the wiring, but I have not even put a volt meter to anything to see why they do not operate.

I quickly realized I am in over my head with this car, and I have to sell off most of my herd in the next month or so to make it through my slow seaso, so I am offering this up here now. I Would like to get back what I paid for it, but if not, Ill chalk it up to a learning experience. The lesson for me will be : As beautiful as they are, I do not enjoy driving 70 or 80 year old cars!

I have driven this enough to know the engine is healthy. By the way, it is the only year of the straight 8 with a 4 barrel carburetor! Sounds great. Does not overheat. I have not seen it leak anything, either, which seems like a miracle? Transmission works as it should.

Ignition is now a regular key in a switch, not starting off of the accelerator pedal.

Interior is pretty nice! Not perfect, but very usable. I was told it was 'restored' in the 80s or 90, and the paint looks good and interior has held up well. Dash is original and looks a bit shabby (in my opinion) - radio does not work. Headlight switch missing.

If this does not sell this time around, I will pull it in the barn and fix all that I can fix by next spring/ summer and then take it out.

Tires are old. Rear shocks do not work well (Very bouncy in the rear!) - Surface rust and some small pin holes through the floor. Trunk 100% solid, though.

NOt sure what else to tell you ..... ? If you have questions, PLEASE CALL. 912.4148993. I am just old and grumpy enough to not want to entertain looky-lous who want to message back and forth. Looking for someone serious enough to pick up the phone and talk about the car. If you are not serious enough to do that, you are not going to buy the car anyway....

In short, this is a gorgeous car with a lot of potential. Can still be an original cruise, easily, or the basis for some sort of resto-mod that will still look the part of a 1952 Roadmaster.

IF YOU BID ~ $500 deposit due at auctions end by Venmo/ bank transfer cash app/ etc. Balance due within 5 days time, no exceptions! Balance due by check in mail, bank transfer / etc . Certified funds only, no paypal or credit cards.

Agai, I am thinking about selling everything and doing something different with my life. I will need some cash to make this happen, so, I may be amicable to selling most everything I own.
