Welcome to my sale. Have you been looking for a late 1980’s –early 1990’s police car? Have you noticed they are not easy to find, especially in a good decent unmolested condition? Have you been looking for an old police car project to restore for shows or parades? This must be your lucky day!
Up for bids is this White on blue 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Vehicle is equipped with the optional High Output 351cu./5.8L Police V8 engine with Automatic Overdrive transmission. This Interceptor served as a patrol car for the small City of Sierra Vista, Arizona Police Department. Vehicle was a take home car, one officer driven! Vehicle was well maintained and cared for by assigned officer and police department. This vehicle would make an easy police car restoration or a good dependable fun head turning daily driver. This is a true example of a vintage and iconic Law Enforcement vehicle. This car is an easy way to get into the police car hobby and have a car to show while you find the one you most desire. This vehicle has a clear title and is a great example of the simpler times, due to car is very plain and simple, equipped with the basics. This vehicle presents very well but due to its age it is a project car. Gets attention, interest and compliments wherever it goes. Its also one of the most comfortable cars to ride in, drives as good as it looks, super smooth, cushy seats make you feel like you are floating in a cloud. No wonder Crown Victoria Police Car aficionados' lust after it. Must have been a great car for a shift on duty.
VEHICLE EXTERIOR CONDITION

• The exterior condition of this vehicle is good. Vehicle has been repainted a beautiful bright White, was originally a light blue metallic in service then white when sold by SVPD. The paint is very shiny as can be seen in the photos! The paint presents very well but is a “Good enough for Government work” paint job. It is not perfect in anyway, you can still see some minor dings, scratches, hail damage and other imperfections if you start looking hard enough. It’s still a beautiful looking car!
• Chrome, stainless and aluminum trim on this car is in decent condition, it still shines beautifully but does have a few dings and scratches here and there. It is not blistering.
• The front and rear bumpers are in great condition.
• Grill and headlight areas are in good condition.
• Parking/turn signal lamp lenses in good condition.
• Taillights are in excellent condition with very slight fading.
• Vehicle retains its four original Ford Police brushed aluminum “Dog Dish” hubcaps in great condition.
• Vehicle tires are good hold air with some tread left but are old.
• Retains front license plate bracket.
• No Tinted Windows.
• Vehicle has 1 hole in roof from police light bar cable; it has been plugged!
• Vehicle has factory AM/FM radio antenna on front passenger fender.
• Vehicle has a spotlight, but does not currently work. Wire was snipped by PD prior to auction
• Vehicle has 4 tires with plenty of tread left but they are old and should be replaced soon.

VEHICLE INTERIOR CONDITION

• The interior of this Crown Victoria is in great condition for its age. Does have some heavy fading from our hot Arizona sun.
• The original blue heavy-duty cloth split 50/50 bench seats with optional matching rear cloth seat are in great condition. No big rips or tears. Could use a good cleaning.
• Dashboard is cracked but does have a matching dash mat that hides it very well.
• Carpet has some stains and is torn on driver's side right under brake pedal.
• Door panels are in great condition.
• Dashboard panels in great condition, some holes from police equipment.
• After market AM/FM radio was added at some point. It’s currently not working.
• Steering wheel is in good condition
• Vehicle retains its original certified calibration 140 mph police speedometer. (regular civilian Crown Victoria speedometers only go up to 85mph)
• Headliner is in good condition some fading with small rips and tears. Typical for its age.
• C pillars upholstery in good condition with sun fading.
• Rear deck has some holes from police equipment removal.
• Vehicle has its rear door handles and doors can be opened from the inside.
• Never had a Divider/cage

VEHICLE ELECTRICAL CONDITION

• Wipers work fine.(needs new blades)
• After market radio was added at some point it is currently not working.
• Hazard switch works
• Horn works
• Turn Signals work
• Interior map lights work
• power trunk release works
• Dash clock delete
• All interior lights work fine and can be turned on with headlight switch. Door switches disabled by police.
• Headlights, taillights, brake lights and all other electrical components not mentioned are working as they should.
• RARE! Vehicle is equipped with Cruise control and power windows most police departments delete these items from the order.
• Driver power window works great; passenger side front goes down but struggles to go up. Rear windows you can hear the motors, but they do not go up ordown.
• All instrument cluster components working properly. No check engine light one.

VEHICLE MECHANICAL CONDITION

• The Crown is equipped with the optional police package 5.8L 351cu. High Output V8 engine with automatic overdrive transmission. Both work exceptionally well.
• This vehicle is currently not emissions compliant, the smog pump has been removed and belt rerouted. I do not have this part.
• A/C Compressor was removed and is missing the mounting bracket. I do not have these items.
• A/C is not currently working due to missing parts see above.
• Heater does work and so does blower motor.
• Included in the police package is the heavy-duty cooling and suspension packages all working well.
• The Engine compartment is stock and clean for its age.
• Car also has factory dual exhaust.
• Vehicle has a recent oil change and tune up.
• Transmission shifts smoothly.
• Manual mirror adjusters work fine
• manual seats work fine.
• Vehicle has power steering and brakes both work fine.
• This car runs and sounds great. It is a pleasure to drive, Lots of respect and thumbs up and a conversation starter at every gas station. Starts every time but sometimes needs a few extra pumps or a squirt of starting fluid due to could use a carburetor rebuild/refresh/tune up before it can be driven daily or long distances. No known mechanical problems of any kind other than ones mentioned.

Need to Know info! Please Read!Just to inform those who may not know The P71 model code was not used until 1993!All models under 1993 used P72 which stand for fleet model all police and taxis where P72's! But only the police models had the high output V. and Certified 140mph speedometer. Yes, the 1992 is the newer body style but it is still a P72 with the police package option. All Police and taxi shared the P72 code up until 1993. There are police models with 5.0's and 5.8's! Thank youad all terms before bidding!
This car is excellent for those that want a vehicle that is gaining popularity with the collectors…..keep in mind that Ford killed off the Crown Victoria line so these cars in excellent condition will become scarce especially the already hard to find Police Models.

A $20.00 a day storage fee will be charged there after the two free weeks are up, until vehicle is picked up. Is the carburetor the original from factory? Yes it has the original Ford Variable Venturi 7200 carburetor.

Any recent work done? It has had a tune up with new spark plugs, wires cap and rotor, new ignition module and oil change. Has a new alternator, new brake master cylinder and booster. Radiator flush.

Is the mileage accurate? Car has a 5 digit odometer reading 49,753, per history report last reported mileage was 77,624 (10/31/1997) based on that and its current condition I am assuming its actual mileage is 149,753. I do believe this is accurate. Even that is low mileage for a police car this old. The car has been in collector hands most its after service life from what I was told by previous owner who I bought it from. Actual mileage is unknown, and vehicle is exempt from mileage reporting due to age. Does mileage really matter on a car like this anyway? It’s an old police car I expect high mileage. Anyone would just be happy to find it this complete and in this condition! If your worried about mileage, I would suggest finding grandma’s LX driven only on Sundays. This car is being driven on short runs and test drives so mileage will go up.

I plan on having it picked up by transporter, will it drive on and off truck? does the parking brake hold and is there anything in the trunk? Yes, the car will drive on and off the truck. Yes the parking brake works and holds. Transmission in park holds too. Only thingh in trunk will be a spare tire and wheel if I find one by pick up time.
