This is a very original 1956 Ford Crown Victoria. It has a completely original drivetrain from the radiator to the gas tank. Please check closely my EBay feedback score. I have over 1300 positive marks and no negative marks. I'm an old guy with too many old car restoration projects, and I selling my 1956 Ford Crown Victoria because I need the funds to pay for a convertible top for our 1962 Ford Sunliner convertible. My wife and I were married in 1962 and the Ford Sunliner is our "keeper." With this information in mind, I will explain in detail the positive and negative aspects of my 1956 Ford. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score, and with this goal in mind, I want to be sure the new owner of the Crown Victoria knows exactly what they are buying. On the positive side: I bought the 1956 Ford Crown Victoria with the intention of restoring it. This 56 Ford is very complete and is dent free and straight. The Frame and floors are dry and the hood, trunk lid, and doors align properly. The previous owner replaced the passenger's door with an original Crown Victoria door. The replacement Crown Victoria side door chrome badge comes with the car. It also has the original fender skirts, and replacement rocker panels for both sides of the car which are in the trunk. The original owner's manual is in the glovebox. As I mentioned, the Crown Victoria had been sitting for several years. With this in mind, I disconnected the gas line to the carburetor, hooked up a 12 volt battery, poured a little gas in the carburetor, and the engine fired right up. The engine runs good, with not unusual sounds or exhaust. The original interior is complete and in useable condition. The rear seat is in very good condition and so is the headliner. The front driver's side seat and the door panels are in place, but need attention. Again, please look closely at the photos. i cleaned the trunk and inspected it for rust. It is in good shape and the spare tire well is not rusted. On the negative aspects: My 1956 Ford sat for several years. There is a Utah Highway Patrol sticker on the driver's side of the windshield dated 1968. Back n the 1960s all Utah cars were required to have a vehicle inspection. This sort of confirms the date of storage. After sitting for a long time, the tires were old and weathered and didn't hold air. I replaced the bad tires with used tires to get the Ford to roll and to be loaded on to my son's trailer. There are several keys for the Ford, but the ignition key is bad. I've had to "hot-wire" the Ford to get the engine running. I have not tried to drive the Ford. I'm sure it needs brake work, as well as the fuel system cleaned before it can be driven. It rolls good and is easy to load onto a trailer. The transmission shift works well from Park to Neutral, and into the Drive gears. I'm sure there are other issues, but this is a good restoration project that with a little work could be a daily driver. If you have any concerns or questions, please give me a call. I will candidly answer your questions. My name is Bob, and my phone number is (801) 745-5835. I enjoy talking about old cars and I want to be sure the new owner knows exactly what they are getting. I bank at Wells Fargo and would prefer a funds wire transfer for the payment, but is will accept any payment method you are comfortable with. I have a clean, Utah title, in my name. I will work with you regarding the pick up schedule. Good luck bidding, and I hope the old Ford finds a good home.
