This is a 1971 Chevy Corvette Convertible 350 4-Speed Numbers matching running and driving project. I bought the car around a year ago from Georgia. I spent time and money... Replaced the fuel tank & sending unit, new rubber lines & fuel filter, new metal hard line from pump to carb, new fuel pump, cleaned the carb / accelerator pump, new points, cap & rotor, new plugs, new valve cover gaskets, high quality oil change using Penn grade oil, replaced gear oil in the trans, sorted the vacuum system out for the headlights, replaced one actuator and two control valves. The engine is original to the car, the trans is a heavy duty Muncie big shaft with drain plug, VIN on the case matches the car. The shifter does need some adjustment or possibly rebuilt (its sloppy) Brakes work, tires hold air. Hard Top only. New radiator - missing the top mounting bracket and 2 rubber cushions on the bottom.Newer carpet is just sitting in the car, door panels and seats are not properly installed. The frame is not rusty (no rot) I have never driven the car on the road, only moved it around the yard and on and off of the trailer. The rear diff should have a gear oil change... I can feel the posi unit clutches grabbing. The reason for the rebuildable title is an insurance company at some point must have paid out for some damage to the front of the car. When I got it, the left headlight door was damaged and to the left of the headlight door needed a repair along with another repair between the headlight door and the hood. I was told that the car rolled down a driveway and hit a parked vehicle. I don't have any other info than that. While I was working on that left headlight, I did replace the header bar (where the headlight frames attach) as it was loose from the incident and wasn't sure if it had any issues. I have kept the receipts for the new radiator, the header bar, one new actuator and two control valves. I believe I will need a receipt for the headlight door that I owned before I bought the car to give to DMV to have the car inspected.
This is a great Father / Daughter project. Needs a DMV inspection to tag it. Florida transferable rebuildable title in my name. (See pics)
