Drivetrain & Chassis:This Galaxie 500 Hardtop, VIN 5P66C128755, came from the factory with a 289ci V8, delivering 225 horsepower, paired with a C4 dual-range automatic transmission and a 3.00:1 open differential 8 inch rear axle. The engine and transmission are missing, making it a rolling chassis ready for your powertrain choice. The factory suspension, power steering, and four-wheel manual drum brakes are all in place. The rear axle spins freely, and all chassis components appear unmolested.
Body & Frame:The body is remarkably rust-free with a couple small exceptions, showing clean floors, frame, roof, and major panels. Finished in factory Honey Gold, which can be seen in spots under the primer, it shows signs of past repairs with light/medium bondo on the driver and passenger quarter panels, plus the passenger quarter wheel arch, likely from dent repairs rather than rust. The driver fender is an OEM replacement with some minor damage behind the bumper area, likely from a fender bender accident. The passenger fender is original and in excellent condition with no previous repairs. Doors and hood close with factory gaps. All factory glass is installed and crack-free.
