1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Camper Additional Info:

This is a 1986 Westphalia built Vanagon pop top camper van. It has traveled 285,000 approximate total miles. It has been 17,000 miles since a total engine rebuild. The repaired odometer shows the actual miles since the engine overhaul as that gauge was repaired/replaced and zeroed at that time. The AC compressor was replaced with a new one at the time of the engine rebuild.
There are many new parts. The tires have great tread but should be checked out because they are 8-10 years old. I installed a new battery on 8/3/25 and the bus started immediately after at least a year of sitting idle. The bus was driven around the neighborhood for a while and then parked again. It has had very little use during the past 8 years, perhaps less than 300 miles. The vehicle sat in covered storage until a year ago and was only started occasionally. This camper bus will benefit from a good cleaning inside and outside, regular use and ongoing TLC. There are many fun miles left to enjoy with this magic bus.
