1984 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

Winning auction buyer asked to cancel order and said he "did not mean to bid".... Now's your shot!*Link to 100+ photos, and videos here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10bimRdLi6efzoYLRwHcAEiJmBdDEAuza?usp=sharingUp for grabs is my sweet 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia camper, which was recently treated to a complete Subaru overhaul in the summer of 2023.With low original miles and virtually ZERO rust- this California Vanagon was a perfect candidate to "bulletproof", and no expenses were spared!523Rods in NorCal did all the work, and I have most of the receipts. (See photos) They are professionals and have done may of these swaps before. Feel free to look up some of their great reviews.Since the swap was completed in 2023 its only had about 2500 miles put on her!A fully rebuilt CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT Subaru 2.2L motor with appropriate catalytic converter, a FULLY rebuilt Vanagon transmission with higher 4th gear, front "big brake" disc conversion, GoWesty 2" lift kit, RECARO front seats, BILSTEIN shocks, new springs, new tires, ALL camping equipment tested, working. Propane tank restored. Solar ready! I didn't get any photos of the sweet vintage awning- but it rolls out nice and is brown and white striped. The pop top is newer within the last 5 years, it does have some tears in the screen on the drivers side, nothing too major. The only thing that needs replaced is the water pump for the sink, which I have and is included. Easy 10 min fix. The water tank holds water great, is clean and ready for use.She cruises down the interstate at 75mph ALL DAY LONG. Truly drives like a new car! Shifts through all gears perfectly- honestly such a steal. If I didnt have 2 other buses and too many other cars I would 100% keep this one.The reason I'm selling her is I just don't get the use out of her I thought I would. I've owned her for 1.5 years and have only taken her on one trip to Moab, as well as a few trips to the grocery store. She's NOT a show vehicle, far from it. But she sure looks good from 10ft away! Plenty of rocky mountain pinstriping (scratches, dents on driver side); but NO rust! Just a super honest van! I tried to take lots of photos to show the complete details, but please keep in mind this vehicle is 42 years old, and has plenty of small quirks. The blower motor fan for the HVAC system in the dash went out last year...it is set up to have ice cold AC though. The fan belt was removed until the blower can be fixed. (It's a PITA from what I hear, just FYI!) Happy to send more photos/videos, but please see the link above for plenty more!As you can see near the rear tailgate, there is a small hole, where an aftermarket GoWesty swing-away spare tire rack once was. On the adjacent side, near the license plate, is the remnants of another GoWesty swing-away accessory. Unfortunately, they were both stolen, and I just didn't feel like spending the money to replace it. (I included a photo of a vanagon with them installed, for reference) Also stolen from the shop at 523Rods were the tires and the rocky mtn westy ladder. This is the reason for the rebuilt title. You can confirm this on the carfax, and also see there is ZERO accidents reported, so no collision damage. Tires, ladder and rack were replaced. If you were to convert this van today, it would easily cost you 20k+. Just getting it Cali legal is like $10,000. I know she isn't a perfect example, but I'm hoping someone will see the value in her as she is. This vehicle PASSES EMISSIONS AND SAFETY TESTS IN ALL 50 US STATES!Vehicle is located 45 mins south of Salt Lake City, Utah.Fly in and drive her home! Or, I am happy to work with a shipper of your choice. I have a friend who has sold vehicles on eBay before who will assist me in that if needed.Rebuilt Utah Title in hand, $500 deposit through paypal within 24hrs, the remaining balance by check, cash in person, or money wire within 3 days (or, if we need to work something else out, just message me)
