Vehicle Details
I bought this car in 2008 from my friend, Lance Stander, at Superformance in Irvine, Ca. It was delivered to my shop in Costa Mesa, Ca.Where I completed the assembly of the car. I stripped the car to the bare tub and began the assembly from the ground up. i measured the tub for accuracy, crack checked all the suspension components and electroless nickel plated them, It is a true GT40 MK1 continuation by Superformance and is listed in the SAAC registry. The engine is a specially built Roush all aluminum Dart block 427 cu. in, with 565hp.and 550ft-lb of torque. it has a steel crank, h-beam rods,Wiseco pistons, AFR heads, Crane hyd. roller cam and TWM 55mm throttle body fuel injection with 42lb injectors. The ZF DS25-2 transaxle was built by Guy Trigeaux. The paint is Monza Red livery with racing number 48 of american racer Dan Gurney (roundels and graphics are vinyl (removable if desired). The dash is signed by Dan Gurney who's shop (All American Racers) was just up the street in Santa Ana. The a/c was modified by replacing the evaporator with a larger hi-capacity custom unit and replacing all under dash ducting. Fabricated custom aluminum ducting from the radiator to the front nostril to keep hot air out of the cockpit. Installed original Lucas 606 review and bullit sideview mirrors with original gt40 door locks. Original BRM magnesium wheels (12x15 rear and 9x15 front with Dunlop racing CR65 600/1200x15 rears and 475/1000x15 fronts. The shocks are Bilstein progressive coil overs with H&R springs. Hydraulic font nose lift. Custom fabricated front and rear sway bars as original. Custom fabricated alum. door eyebrows. front tow eyes. Burns stainless straight exhaust. mufflers are also included.Extra set of aluminum BRM aluminum wheels with Avons.(12x15 and 9x15) Extra parts and tools. Clear 3M PPF on front nose. This car is completely road legal, titled and registered in Ca. as 1966 Ford GT40. This car is absolutely perfect and well sorted with $400,000 invested. It presents just as well in person as it does in pictures. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer GT40 MK1 than this one. It is located in Ferandina Beach, Fl.
