Vehicle Title: | Rebuilt, Rebuildable & Reconstructed |
I have owned this Bus for over 30 years. In 2020, we converted it to all electric. The electric motor is a Hyper-9 from Netgain motors, which also came with the motor controller. The controller is highly programmable and I programmed an acceleration curve to be able to drive it like an automatic in 3rd gear all the time. It still has the stock transmission, and shifter, no clutch. Shifting is still possible. I put a switch on the dash for reverse, so it can also go backwards in any gear. The charging system is Thunderstruck TSM2500 and can charge level 1 (110V) or level 2 (220V) and comes with the charger for use at public charging stations (J1772). The EV Charge controller is also Thunderstruck EVCC v3.0 The batteries are Nissan Leaf Gen 2 (Lithium ion pouches) and there are 80 of them arranged in 2 aluminum enclosures of 20 each and one enclosure of 40. The Battery Management System is 2 model 20s and the software app is Xiaoxiang. Dash meter in Intelligent JLD40AH. The car was located in California followed an enclosed garage-kept for 15 years in Florida. Rebuilt Title. Normal wear for an occasional driver and 3 to 6 times per year camping and car shows. It was re-painted in 2020. The interior Westfalia closet and sink/Fridge combo and upper cot have been removed and the rear seat now pulls out into a Queen size bed. The rebuilt Title was due to an insurance settlement from an engine fire that was put out quickly. The range is around 35 miles starting from about 80% charged.
