1955 Chevrolet BIG BLOCK GASSER PROJECT 55 CHEVY GASSER DRAG CAR NEEDS REPAIR Additional Info:

Vehicle Original VIN : B55L091699Available for your consideration is a 1955 Chevy Gasser!!! 55 Chevy one of the most iconic cars to grace our roads. I am selling for a friend. I have tried numerous times to talk him out of this sale it is one of those sales that seems necessary at the time yet you spend a lifetime regretting down the road. I have stalled listing it yet as a close friend I promised I would list. The potential of this car is uncanny. The car does need an experienced person or a avid hobbiest to finish. I believe the expensive & hard work is completed. The frame of this car is in incredible condition. I wish I have not purchased so many projects and poor health would keep me from completing this car yet it could be a holy grail car. We have a 1955 Chevy that does have vin tag and title. Titled as a 4 door yet obviously this is a 2 door vehicle. Frame has been cleaned up and painted. Frame was never rusty and it shows. Incredible condition. The body as most 55's had something left to be desired. Solid in areas and poor in others. Brand New floor plan in place. Doors are in great shape. Passenger door had to be cut to reach the plate for mounting yet an easy fix. Fenders, hood front end components are all in great shape. No issues at all. Clean parts. Firewall has been redone to meet the Gasser look criteria. Roof is solid, trunk lid is solid. No trunk floor was cut out due to rust and also to mini tub and tube it for again the Gasser look.. Back deck sil and around rear glass had rust issues. My buddy purchased a section from Texas, had it shipped in and has it spot welded and mocked into place. Quarter end caps, rear trunk sil all new and welded in. The only true issue with this car are the quarter panels he struggled with them and it shows. Looks like Frankenstiein on back quarters with all the welds, and not properly set. I look at them and feel with some time, cutting, resetting and welding the could still be used. Obviously a new set of quarters would make this a couple weekend project to be together and close to done. This is honestly why I don't understand finishing this car yet I am certain recently retiring, financial cost and losing the facility he is working on the car at is overwhelming. Also as redoing many cars this scar is at the point where most give up and next person finishs with a breeze. So much time & energy is put into a project like this it gets overwhelming and you just lose yourself. Next person buys it with attitude all hard work is completed and I can deal with balance of repairs without issue. I feel this is where this car is at. I am 3rd generation collision, paint & restoration tech so I understand, been there done that. Wish I had time & energy to finish car for him. I would love to so he could have his car done and would not have to invest much yet with health situation and line up of cars to finish myself I just cant as much as I would like too. This car comes with many many parts, extras as well.I have pictured boxes of parts, original steering column, fenders, hood, bumpers, trim Some interior yet does need seats. He has a set that is willing to sell additionally if someone was interested yet could take that up with him at that time. Overall a good solid car with tons of potential. This is worth the time to come look to insure your confidence in making the purchase. Well worth getting a car at this level so you know what you gotr when you buy vs that car that you pay high, looks nearly done yet your replacing everything anyway and redoing so now finished you have way too much money in it. Please if at all possible come look at this car so your confident in making the purchase. You will not be disappointed. The car has been fitted with a bolted in running big block 454 Engine. A powerhouse that is intimidating to look at. Built right with a lot of chrome as well. Patriot Headers fit this car perfect. Trans bolted up is for mock up only. Not a good transmission it has issues. We are being very transparent and want you to know what your buying. The front end to give an old school Gasser look has lifted spindles with ball joint spacers.giving the old school Gasser lift look. Heavy duty springs in front were added as well. Front end has been switched over to Rack & Pinion steering with disc brakes from ease of stopping. Car comes with automatic and standard shift flywheel, as mentioned car is mocked up with automatic trans currently. The rear end has been flipped again to lift car and give ultimate old school Gasser look. Many items have been added, changed and upgraded just too much to list and even remember. Best is honestly if at all possible come look at this car you will buy it....Look over pictures closely as well you will see the time & detail put into this car. Car runs strong & sounds even better. A perfect project for the right person. I did my best to describe to a T so you know what to expect. Chassis drive train with exception of trans your ready to go.
