Vehicle Original VIN : VL29C1B370174This 1971 Plymouth Duster Twister Tribute is one of the most interesting cars you can get your hands on right now. After all, it doesn't look like a sleeper, but it really is. The Twister package was all about looking like a speedier Duster but with a smaller V8. But this custom extra-sleek silver bullet blows the doors off the full classic Duster lineup because there's a professionally-built 360 V8 with a supercharger under the hood! The Duster 340 was a true street king, and the Twister wanted to capture that magic, too. So it got a terrific sense of style with the dual scoop hood painted matte black and a strobe stripe put on top. The full-length side stripe loves to show off the Coke-bottle curves that make the Duster line so desirable today. And the blackout grille, blackout rear panel, wide dual exhaust tips, and a large rear spoiler complete quite a sporty package. So this coupe is quite attractive even before you notice the fundamentals. Bright chrome bumpers, good body lines, and a terrific shine from the silver paint tell you this Twister tribute came from a respected home. In fact, it's even coming off of a dozen years of long-term care. The black accents of the exterior get you ready for the full black interior. It's quite basic and complete, but that's kind of the point of a car like this. There's no real extra fluff here because the performance Dusters were great for utilizing the most from its V8 power by being a smaller/lightweight package. So this one doesn't have too many superfluous features. Instead, it just looks clean, fresh, and attractive with the right driver-focused upgrades. This includes high-back front bucket seats, a B&M floor shifter, an AutoMeter column-mounted tach, and auxiliary readouts under the dash. We love how the engine bay has some serious shine to make sure you'll want to showcase this special powerhouse. It's a 360 cubic-inch V8 that was professionally built in 2011. It includes a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust. And oh yeah, there also happens to be a fully polished setup drawing all your attention to the Paxton supercharger. It's a serious power package, and we even have a dyno sheet showing 375 horsepower. Plus, there are good sporting components like the aluminum radiator and MSD digital ignition. There was nearly $3k invested within the last few months having the transmission professionally rebuilt, and this feeds into a strong Mopar 8 3/4 limited-slip rear end with 3.23 gears. And power steering, front disc brakes, and extra wide rear tires deliver a solid all-around power driver. The sale comes complete with build receipts and the dyno sheet. This Duster offers power, poise, and distinction in an irresistible package. Call today!!!
