1968 Other Makes Chevrolet Biscayne Additional Info:
This is the ultimate of rare muscle cars! The car was originally ordered by Ennis Lund, who came to my house last year and took the car out for a great nostalgic day with his son. He recalled ordering the "steering wheel upgrade" for an additional $3, the "chrome kit" for an extra $15, and many other stories, including his drag race history with the car.I've enjoyed Ennis's Menace (originally drag racing name) for 5-6 years, and it's time to pass on to someone else who can appreciate it. It's super rare - if you are reading this listing, then you know that Chevy made 124 of the L72 Biscayne's in 1968. There are only three known remaining examples. Here is a link to one of the three known remaining cars.

This car is #3. That's it - this listing shows the three known cars!
This car is nearly 100% original! Original interior. Original paint (except when doors needed repaint to take off the drag racing paint/decals). Yes - only 14k original miles. This car is a true time-capsule in every sense of the word. It cannot be replicated and you cannot find another.
Fully known ownership history from new. Based on the options, this car is one-of-one as built:
M21 4-sp close ratio trans
G80 Positraction 4:88
F41 Spec suspension
L72 425 HP Turbo-jet V-8
N40 power steering
Chrome Kit
Steering Wheel Upgrade
Full Vinyl Interior Option
The story that resonated with me most - Ennis bought this car to race. He talked about going to the dealership and overstretching his budget to add a lot of trim items to make the car unique and his own. He received delivery of the car and essentially drove it directly to the dragstrip where he regularly exceeded the 6000 rpm redline and shifted at 7200. This lasted just a few months, as he managed to blow the engine within months of taking delivery. A limited budget forced him to keep as much of the original motor as possible on the rebuild, but he did need to order a replacement block. So the block was replaced with a factory L72 block by the dealer in 1969. It remains in the car today.
At some point, the gearing was changed away from the 4:88 to a 4:56, however the original casing is still in place.
Virtually everything else on this car is As-Delivered by the factory in 1968. The car is a 50-year old time capsule, and simply incredible.
I'm starting this auction at $.99 and have a very modest reserve on the car. It's simply time for me to do something else. Feel free to email any questions. I would be willing to end the auction with a reasonable offer. The car is also for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. No warranties.
I'd also entertain a trade - up, down, multi-car, etc. In particular I'd be looking for newer cars - Ferrari, Corvette, Lamborghini, interesting race cars, maybe even boats, motorhomes, real estate, etc.
I'm happy to discuss the car, but please - serious calls only as I'm quite busy with work.
In summary - just an awesome, rarest of the rare automobiles. An incredible find, and can be used for a collection, museum, nostalgic drag racing, or simply something you can drive for fun. Thanks for your interest.
