1972 Opel 1900 GT Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 1972 Opel GT. No expense spared restoration on a very original car with only 22482 original miles. Not to often do you see Opel GT's that are correct and in this condition.
This car has the original motor and transmission. The shocks are original and they are in perfect condition. I installed a brand new (and correct) starter/solenoid and alternator. The car starts up like it was new. The only part that is not correct is the Weber carb. When I bought this Opel the Weber was already on it and I decided to leave it in place because it just runs so damn well with it. I do have the original Solex carb and air filter attachment (pictured) and it will come with the vehicle if the new owner would like to have that installed back.
The interior has the original front carpets both driver and passenger, original radio which works perfectly, original factory dash which is one of the most impressive parts on this Opel. It does not have any cracks or scratches on it. If you know Opels then you know that is almost unheard of. All the gauges work. The seats were recovered in genuine leather. The headliner was replaced. The rear carpets are new. The bad...the clock doesn't work...thats it.
As you will see from the photo's the car was stripped and painted by a professional classic car restoration shop. The body and paint is a 10. The bumpers were re-chromed and look factory new. Headlights/highbeams, brake lights, turn signals all work perfectly. The tires are brand new. The wheels were powder coated and look new.
Here is my video on youtube:https://youtu.be/XZ14gfCaQHw **Please note, the tail lights/flashers in the video were in the wrong place. I have recently corrected them and they are in the photo on this ad.**
I am open to offers and feel free to contact me directly with any questions. This is a NO RESERVE auction, the highest bidder will own this car. Please only bid if you plan on owning the vehicle. $16k is the lowest I will accept which I why I started the bidding at that price point.
I will be happy to assist with arranging inspections/test drives and I highly recommend it.
Shipping is available to anywhere in the world, but the buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and all expenses. For overseas arrangements, I can have this vehicle delivered to the Jacksonville FL Port free of charge.
