Up for bid is my 1939 Oldsmobile rat rod truck. This project started out as a 4 door sedan car. It was cut and had a wood bed on it when I got it. It was used as a farm truck in Washington state. I welded a piece of metal on the back cab and used fiberglass and bondo to create the cab corners. Its not pretty but its solid. The bed is from a 1956 Ford but the original 1939 rear fenders were used but I had to widen them. The body is very solid without rust. There are a couple spots of rust on the floor board which is repairable.
I removed the seized flathead motor and installed a 350 V8 from a 1969 Buick GS350. It has approximately 79000 miles. The transmission is a TH350 with a shift kit and was recently rebuilt. Runs good. The suspension is original with coil springs. It steers very nicely but is somewhat limited on turning radius due to it being lowered. The rear end does need to be resealed.
New: Coker classic white wall tires, brakes, u-joints, 12 volt system, aluminum radiator, carburetor, and wiring. Runs about 200 degrees here in the Phoenix desert when its 115 outside. This truck is one of a kind. Very unique with constant inquiries. Its a blast to drive. Thanks for looking and please feel free to contact me with questions. I did all of the work myself on this truck so I know it pretty well.
