1955 Oldsmobile 347” Original rocket engine with 371 pistons needs a rebuild. (not running)Block/ crank/ heads has bern modified for higher volume oiling by Jim Grubbs 25 years ago, also includes pump and retrofitted to use modern oil filters (olds 455). custom cam by Ross and other cool internals- engine will not require much machining, just a thorough cleaning and new bearings was recommended by builder.Brand NEW pro-built 4 spd hydromatic transmission! (under warranty) This is the best year and type for hydros: slant pan, dual range, trans can also be converted into a B&M Hydro Stick if you are a retro-racer…Rear- end rebuilt by Hoopers.All new front end parts.Powermaster alternator (looks like generator, you can power big stereo systems)Electronic ignitionNew oversized brake drumsCar is complete, also more roadworthy than one might guess from the pictures. Also includes many extra parts. gaskets and an extra set of perfect #8 heads.Car has very little rust / dent issues- shown in pics. Floor was replaced by previous owner.Rocket includes 2 induction choices:Edelbrock manifold with 3 Rochester 2bbls and stock 4bbl manifold with Jet Performance 800cfm qjet (stage1). The 2bbl carbs have been rebuilt with modern internal components and gaskets, both intakes are ready to run.Upholstery is rough, seat frames and slider track are good.All stainless trim in excellent condition except some damage on the small rear-quarter spear on left.Really easy project for the right person- huge value my loss is your gain, I cant take it with me… rebuild this engine- it is capable of producing 400 lbs- ft. and the power- curve is engineered to the transmission, this car was fun to drive!
