1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Custom

This is truly a thing of beauty. First generation Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Custom in great condition. It looks very original but is an older restoration.

The car came from an estate and the elderly gentleman who had owned it was a Vista Cruiser fanatic who not only maintained the car impeccably with a passion, but also collected a treasure trove of Vista Cruiser literature over the years that comes with the vehicle. Dealer and sales materials, dealer postcards of identical car, service and maintenance volumes, all kinds of cool stuff from 1967. Hours of reading!

The first-generation Vista Cruiser pioneered a standard raised roof with split skylight over the second-row seating, with lateral glass panels over the rear cargo area. This one also has the optional sun visors for second row passengers, and a third row of forward-facing passenger seating. Access to the third row is gained by a split-folding second row seat that retracts forward.

The car gets so much attention every time I drive it and everyone absolutely loves it.

The body is obviously very very nice but there are a few tiny paint chips when you get up really close and a small spot of bubbling I want to include for full disclosure. All the chrome looks great and shines well. The front fenders have the red plastic inner and under hood fender liners.

This highly optioned car also has the L66 option pack that included a 400 cu 300hp Rocket V8 with Climatic Combustion Control Engine Air Induction System and Turbo Hydramatic 3 speed transmission. The engine and trans have under 10,000 miles on a full rebuild and work flawlessly. The mileage reads just over 17,000 which I presume isn't original. I'm using it weekly so it may go up a little. It has dual exhausts that exit right behind the rear wheels on each side and sounds absolutely fantastic. As you would expect it has power steering and brakes.

As you can see the Interior is a glorious burgundy color in excellent condition down to the front floor mats with “Vista” on the drivers side footwell and “Cruiser” on the passenger. The dashboard, seats, carpet and headliner are all excellent. It has power windows, including the tailgate, power bench seat, remote mirror adjustment, and of course the original radio. All of the windows work except for the rear passenger window which is missing the door switch. The car has an old window tint that really would benefit from being removed, but looks fine from the outside.
