Real limited production car built by Oldsmobile and Hurst Performance. The car was born a K code 350 V-8 car with the W-25 package and the engine was changed by the previous owners to clone a W-30 car as well as decals and a smooth running what I understood when purchased a 455 engine ( New photo of the cylinder head code it is a E code head -( possible 1968 -1970 455 engine heads? ). This true W-25 car was born with a 350 engine while the W-30 cars had 455's.
This W- 25 Hurst /Olds has the famous his and hers shifter and the louvered hood. The Hurst /Olds differed from the standard Cutlass by eliminating the rear side windows and the addition of the T-tops as well as the swivel seats.
I challenge you to find any 1975 car at any price with as nice and rust-free underside as this car- see the photos! This is typical of cars that have spent a majority of their life in Eastern North Carolina.
The 1975 Hurst /Olds was selected as the first car to introduce the public to the T-top, removable roof panels. This is just one -aspect of this car that makes it so special and collectible.
The white front bucket seats were a swivel type with reversable cushions. You can flip them over and they are all white. See photos. Also has the Hurst/Olds emblem that is recessed into the rear quarter trim panel on the interior.
Have a 455 air cleaner and an extra set of T-top glass in the trunk to go with the car.
The car starts runs and drives very good and has working cold air conditioning.
Has great sounding dual exhaust. Edelbrock intake and valve covers. Car was converted by previous owners, and I do not know the specifics of the engine, or its size( cyl head code indicates a 455 from a 1968-1970 ) . In 1975 both the 455 and the 350 engines were painted GM corporate blue, so beyond the aftermarket items it looks the part.
Very clean top to bottom. Check out all the photos and the videos below. The car has been driven so there is evidence of use of course, but overall, a very presentable car and nicer than most that have been sold on eBay and some auction houses the past several years. Don't miss this one!
Free and clear North Carolina title that matches the VIN in the auction. No Reserve- Bid to Buy- A bid of $22,500 and you are in the lead to own the car. If there is one bid or more the highest bid gets to purchase the car. If you are a real interested buyer and would like to discuss the car- please call at 252-916-4367.
Total production is 2535 and that included both W-30 and W-25 Hurst Olds Editions. 1293 were white and 1242 were black. According to this cars data plate-this car is a factory W-25 Cameo white car code 11-11U PNT. Factory white vinyl swivel seats - code TR 110 and AN7. Also has factory 73X Dark Oxblood (red) floor console. There are no numbers as to how many W-25's were white or black and how many W-30 cars were white or black.
Some lessons and rules I request my bidders and buyers to understand and follow because I have sold a few cars over the past number of decades - some on eBay. Buyer to pay cash or bank wire only before car to be picked up. Payment due in full 3 days after the auction. If the buyer picks up in person and has any issue with the car after looking it over in person and before signing the bill of sale and title - I will make it right or issue a full refund of the price and we walk away friends. Not available - no negotiation at all if you do not come in person to pick up the car. I will work with buyer, but if it takes more than 14 days to pick up the car there will be a $20 per day (after 14 days of the auction) storage fee paid before pickup.
