1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Additional Info:

1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser in very good mechanical condition. There are some optical flaws, like the headliner in the back is gone.

Rust is only around the rear windows both sides and the front extension between bumper and grill. the rest is rust free, no rust on floor.

A small dent (bullet from a .22LR gun) in the left lower fender, but not through, just a dimple.

Following work was done to the vehicle.

Suspension:

All new polyurethane suspension. Car is lifted with heavy duty springs about 2 inches front and back. All shocks new. I still have the original rear springs in good condition if buyer wants to lower the car to original hight.

Engine:

307 was replaced with a 350 from a 74 Cutlass and rebuilt. Mostly stock except some flat top pistons, mondello 18-20 cam, heavy duty oil pump. Heads rebuilt and all new studs. Engine has about 15’000 miles on it. Edelbrock intake and carb. Engine runs OFF the computer, but all wires and computer is still in car and can be reused, just replace the carb and distributor with a electronic original version. They are plentiful in the wrecking yards. The computer will work fine with the 350, instead of the 307. I only use high quality oil in this car (full synthetic oil 5-50 Mobil 1)

Transmission:

The TH200R4 was rebuilt by a performance shop in Texas and can handle up to 400 HP.

Other work done recently:

Alternator, Starter, Waterpump, Fuelpump were all replaced when engine was rebuilt.

Tires:

Tires are brand new heavy duty 235/75/15 LT. (I will give a discount if I can keep tires and put older tires on car)

It has a true dual exhaust, but some hangers need to be replaced.

This car is a daily driver so the engine compartment is dirty like a regular car, it is NOT a show car.

The interior is in very good condition (except headliner) The steering wheel was replaced with a red sport Oldsmobile steering wheel from a Toronado. The original steering wheel is gone.

This car drives great, I drove it from Seattle to Los Angeles a couple times with no problem. This car is very dependable, I used it for longer trips on freeways, but now I’m driving my 70 Cutlass as daily driver and don’t need the Custom Cruiser anymore.
