1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser 3 seat Additional Info:
I am listing my 1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon. I bought this car approximately three years ago from a seller in Mesa, Arizona. It appears the car was sold new in Washington State, and Wintered in Arizona. I shipped the car from my home in Palm Springs to my Summer Cabin in Ohio approx one year ago, where it was driven the last two Summers and was garaged Spring, Fall, and Winter. I am selling as my cabin is on the market and won't be needing a car in Ohio any longer. Car runs smoothly and quietly, and am always delighted at the fit and finish on the car and how well it has all held up. It's likely one of the cleanest Custom Cruiser wagons that you'll ever see in a great color combination. Since purchasing, I have repaired/replaced the following: New Driftwood Metallic Paint, new woodgrain panels by Woodgrain4Wagons in Long Beach, California, New door weatherstripping, new radiator, new water pump, new battery, all four tires replaced approx 8000 miles ago, AC compressor and drier replaced, transmission rebuilt. I've loved driving this car, as it was my daily driver in Palm Springs for approx two years until it became my Summer cabin car. I am aware of the following conditions with the vehicle: Cold weather the speedometer twitters until it warms up, sometimes turn signal dash RT indicator does not always light up, electric self-dimming rear view mirror lights up but does not appear to function, rear tailgate window goes up slowly, rear pass side window switch does not work on door, but operates on driver's switch, rear bumper filler has horizontal crack on pass side under tailgate, drivers seat velour has medium wear on pile, rear pass side door panel has kink/crease in leading window edge, twilight door handle activated interior lights work, but keyhole lights do not function (I think that is a bulb in the driver's door), power antenna was replaced with manual mast, some dings in stainless belt trim and driver's side rear wheel well surround trim, scratch in driver's side sail panel, scratch in driver's side woodgrain in rear quarter, scratch in woodgrain just forward of rear driver side wheel opening (thanks to the ABC Auto shipper for all three), small ding in hood on driver side near windshield edge of hood, door ding near driver side lock, door ding in pass side rear door. I have shown the car at numerous Oldsmobile shows in Ohio and Michigan, and have consistently placed first or second in class. The wagon triggers a lot of memories for people, so you should get used to talking to everyone about it- they're a rare sight on the road, as these cars were used and abused. This one has always been well-cared for, and has never wanted for any maintenance at all. The original owner's manual is also in the glove compartment, and sale will include a 1988 Oldsmobile Press release packet. If you have any specific questions about the car, please don't hesitate to ask, am happy to answer any questions. The car is currently located in West Farmington, Ohio, approx one hour SE of Cleveland. Please make all buyer's investigations prior to bidding or purchase, and make sure you already have funds ready for purchase prior to close of auction.
