Here is a nicedriver or a goodcandidate for restoration. It runs and drives, has telescopic-tilt steering, power seats, Comfortron, cruise control. The hideaway headlights work well on the original vacuum canister. The (almost) classic Olds 455cid/375hp/4bbl pulls very strong and smooth, and the FWD transmission shifts great. There are no leaks, it has new vinyl roof, brakes, shocks, battery, window mouldings, trunk seal. Glass is very good, the body isextremely solid and straight.
To bring it to the next level would requirefront seat re-upholstery, arm rests, signal cancellation cam, horn fixand typical inside repairs. It shows well in the photos, but it certainlyneedsnew Cinnamon Bronze Metallic paint - inmy opinion the best colour for 1968. -:)Everything is there except the AC compressor - this is common to otherGM cars so it can be found, also needs a jack foot and the wheel-well chrome pieces.
This caris easily in 'fair' condition caron Hagerty'sValuation tool which gives it a value of $8,300. Please see https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1968-Oldsmobile-Toronado.Older Toros are getting attention now due to Front Wheel Drive technology and amazing design cues, which were both ahead of their time. I am discounting due to AC Compressor (about $400 US) and because I need time and space foranother project. I bought this car in Montana in March 2017 and have title. Pleaselet me knowif you want specific photos or a video of it running. Thanksfor reading this.
