1972 Oldsmobile 442 442 Additional Info:
Very nicely restored 1972 Oldsmobile 442 2-door hard top. Very high quality restoration and very well maintained since. This car is fully documented with its original build sheet and numbers matching engine and transmission. It has bucket seats, console, factory AM radio, power steering and brakes and not much more in terms of options. It starts, runs and drives beautifully. Everything works right down to the two-level-brightness courtesy light in the center console. The dome light works, all of the instruments work, the car needs nothing,
Cosmetically I call it a very high level driver. There are a few blemishes in the paint but it is very difficult to see beyond two feet. The chrome and trim are excellent. The gaps and panel fit are also excellent. The doors open and shut effortlessly. The seats both adjust forward and backward perfectly. The condition of the interior isexcellent bordering on mint. The carpeting is perfect but there are no floor mats. The vinyl seats are also excellent condition-wise.
The roof liner is perfect and the dome light works. There are no cracksin the steering wheel and all of the instrumentsand controls not only work, but look great too. All of the glass is perfect as well. The windows roll up and down fine. The doors lock correctly and the key works in both door locks as well as the trunk as from the factory.
The trunk is spotless with solid original floor and nice rubber seals. There is carpeting in the trunk that is not original. It has its correct original spare on a 5th factory rally rim that matches the four on the car.
The undercarriage is immaculate with no rust or rust repair anywhere.
If you are looking for a real 442, do give this one some careful consideration. It is a great running and looking car with no rust and no accidents ever in its history.
Overall it is an excellent and honest car with no stories and no issues. I've placed it on here with a very reasonable reserve and invite inspections for the duration of the auction. I will consider a buy-it-now price and reserve the right to add one at any time throughout the auction so reach out to me if you like the car.
Thanks and good luck!
