I bought this car as a project but it is beyond my experience level. Believe this car sat for 8yrs without driving. ODO doesn’t work.
**ELECTRONICS** Factory ECU relocated into glove box space. I couldn’t get power into the car, albeit I didn’t try very hard. I also couldn’t find the engine bay’s relay box. I’m not sure where the previous owner hid it. Battery cables are re-routed to the rear in hatch area. Driver side headlight motor is missing, but there is an mechanically adjustable rod that opens it by hand.
**DRIVETRAIN** KA24DE mated to 5spd manual transmission. The trans rows thru the gears like butter without slop—very tight and precise. Stock rear open diff, and stock driveshaft. I’m not sure which clutch is installed. Suspension is stock shocks on Tein lowering springs. I tried to bench test the compression on the motor but the starter is dead… just makes thuds and clicks when I apply 12V power to it from an automotive battery. The engine is very clean inside! The head at least appears to have been rebuilt (see pics).
**MISC** Body has some filler on the rear quarter panels which he also shaved the side markers to also include the rear brake light. Aftermarket parts included: Mishimoto rad (needs cap); Ebay front strut bar; Ebay header (looks like ISR-style) connected to an Ebay exhaust (looks like Apexi knockoff). There is some light rust in the hatch area and engine bay. The battery tray area was cut out which is a fairly common area for rust-out in 240SXs.
