The 280ZX 10th Anniversary edition was available in two exterior color schemes, and this example is one of 2,500 finished in two-tone black and gold. The 10th Anniversary package included headlight washers, commemorative decals on the fenders and rear hatch, black window trim, and a T-Top roof with removable glass panels.
Factory 14″ alloy wheels are finished in silver with gold accents. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather with matching door panels along with a brown dashboard and carpets. Equipment includes a Hitachi AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, automatic climate control, power windows, and a numbered plaque ahead of the shifter indicating that this is #1962 out of 3,000 special-edition cars.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while a digital clock and gauges for oil pressure and voltage are mounted in the center of the dash.
The 2.8-liter L28 inline-six was rated at 132 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
