1953 Nash Rambler Additional Info:
1953 Nash Rambler hard top coupe, in partially restored condition!
Any and all offers are welcome!
Purchased on 6/1/17 for 4,500$ with intentions to fully restore this eye-catching classic vehicle. The total I've invested into this gem is $9,058 (not including the sales tax when purchasing her)
~$4,500 for the Nash and $4,558 in repairs~
I do have ALL of the credit card detailed statements and copies of my bank statement checks as proof of the money I've put into her andI'm hoping to sell her to someone who will restore this beauty and am asking only $6,777 or B/O. So, I'm losing out on at least $2,280, but no big deal on my part.
Vehicle has current registration and inspection.
She has 4 brand new tires for $1,000/250$ each via Universal Vintage Tires.
She's got all of her original chrome trim refurbished for $2,000 at Niagara Custom Plating. The chrome is wrapped and in storage and not on the car because I don't want to put in on, then potentially getting it scratched when removed by myself or you, prior to the rust and paint being finished. However, I'll be glad to unwrap it and take pics for you if you'd like.
She also has a brand new master cylinder for $355 at Pep Boys.
Lastly, I had most of the exterior and some on the interior (the interior doors) rust repaired for $1,200 at Zeon's Automotive.
I had every intention to have the rust work finished, as well as a great quality paint job and the interior totally restored. However, due to unforeseen financial issues, I had to stop the rust work from being completed and can no longer finish her full restoration.
I have driven her and she seems to run great! However, since I have not driven her long distances, I'm not sure if picking her up and driving a long way (as in driving across the country) is a good idea or not--that's your call. Plus, with the crazy snow fall in the Buffalo/Niagara area, it would be risky attempting to drive her in snow, given that she wasn't designed to be driven in such weather conditions. So, shipping her via truck or train is my recommendation but it's your choice.
I want you to be 100% sure that all I've stated is 100% true to the best of my knowledge.
A few negative and positive things I've been told and/or know about this Nash: the front seats are not the original seating is what I've been told, but they are in decent condition. I haven't notice any tips, tears, etc.
All manual windows work.
I do have the handles (which are restored) and taillights, they just aren't on the car in the pictures.
The left front tire has deflated, as seen in the picture. It's totally brand new, so I believe it just needs a new stem which I will get fixed ASAP prior to selling. I just haven't been able to drive her to a shop to get fixed due to the snowy weather we've had here for the past week.
Please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have. I'll do my best to answer them.
Thank you!
